Varick reported that he couldn’t do scan-to-pdf and also that they were still having connection problems.
I had stopped in earlier in the week to look at the connection problems. I couldn’t get the DSL modem to accept the default WiFi password even though it was what was being used. I changed the password to a shorter string and got things to work.
Today Varick reported that while the connection to the modem is staying connected, the Internet speed and connectivity is having issues. I suspect the modem needs replacing. I’ve sent an email to Bill Hyde at TDS asking him to have this replaced. We will see if he just tells me to call support.
The scan-to-PDF function wasn’t installed when I built the laptop because I didn’t know the printer model. I downloaded the full driver (long download due to slow DSL) and installed it. I verified that I could scan-to-pdf either from the printer front panel or from the browser interface.
