Tracey called. There was an email recently about an attached Xerox scan. She realized this was spam/virus and deleted it. Dave Karrick sent her an email later asking about the email as he also received one. After reading Dave’s email, her laptop had problems including a black screen and just the cursor.
I told Tracey to hard power cycle the laptop and if it didn’t work correctly after that, to call me back and I’d pick up the laptop for review. I’ve emailed Jim Bingham (TA) to report this and so he can make sure nobody ever tries to open these emails.

David sent the same to me and my PC slowed done some. We don’t even have a
Xerox machine. I believe that any infection is coming from David Karrick
forwarding the email. I don’t remember receiving that email directly and I
did not open the attached links.
