Removed old Kaspersky anti-virus and installed current Norton license
PC is an AMD with 2GB RAM running Win 7. This PC is not suitable for future upgrade to Win 10. Plans should be made to replace it.
Attempted to run Windows Update but it won’t run. Last update was done 11/9/2016. This is a major concern due to lack of security updates. Laptop has Shockwave and Flash installed which are commonly hacked. Removing both of these.
A google search found a solution to the Windows Update problem. Changed the Windows Update Setting to “Never” and then I was able to check for updates. Installed all current updates and set Windows Update to automatic. Windows Update continues to work.
