Received call from Assessing office that network printer was working. Everything looked like it should be OK. Drove to town. Printer had correct IP but was not reachable. A close look at the network cable connection to the switch showed that there was no data connection. Further inspection found that the plug on the cable didn’t have a locking tab and was slightly out of the jack. Pushed in fully and connectivity was restored.
After returning to my home office, I built a new network cable. I replaced the faulty cable the following day.
