Len wanted to install Vector Works 2014 as a stop-gap so he could get work done without having to learn the new 2018 version. MacOS won’t let the app be installed because it is tagged as being from an unapproved vendor. In the past, there was a system setting to allow these types of apps to be installed. This is no longer the case. I had to navigate to the install package and “view contents”, then navigate into the contents to get to the install command. Next, I opened a terminal window and drag-n-dropped the install command into the terminal window. Pressed enter, entered the system password, and was then able to install the app.
The other task of the day was to install the two printers that are in the offices. This was straight forward via the add devices/printers control panel.
